Following 15 years in a modern office building on Kirschgartenstrasse, we have now moved into a stylish and historical building in Bäumleingasse 22 as of Monday, 24th August. The Bäumleingasse (“little tree lane”) is mentioned as early on as 1340 in the cathedral chapter anniversary book. The name “by dem Mulboum” comes from a mulberry tree that once stood at the end of the road, where the Bäumleingasse now joins Freie Strasse.

Even before that, this area was once called “an den Schwellen” (“on the threshold”), referring to the slope which stretches from the upper end of Freie Strasse to what is now named the Bäumleingasse. The name likely originated from what was an unpaved road at the time which was fixed by wooden beams embedded in the ground, so-called “Schwellen” or “Swellon”.

In future, candidates will be standing on the “threshold” of a new professional phase when visiting our offices and taking the next step in their careers. We will also continue to find long-term recruits for our clients in future through carefully selected candidates.

We look forward to soon being able to welcome you at our new site in Bäumleingasse. The only thing that is changing is our address. Our phone number, email address and of course of skills and reliability will remain the same.

See you “on the threshold” soon

Your MPB Team
